The side stand switch fulfils an important task. If the side stand is folded out, the engine must be switched off when a gear is engaged. Especially at the TÜV this component is criticized again and again. If the function is impaired, the TÜV refuses a new sticker.

The side stand switch is exposed to a high load, especially through water and salt. A repair is not possible. Therefore, only replacement will help in case of a defect.
