The side stand switch performs an important task. Because if the side stand is folded out, the engine must be switched off when a gear is engaged. This component is repeatedly criticised, especially by the TÜV. If the function is impaired, the TÜV refuses a new sticker.

Especially through water and salt the side stand switch is exposed to a high load. A repair is not possible. Therefore only the exchange helps in case of a defect.
