If you want to enjoy your bike for a long time, you should clean it regularly. After all, a clean bike doesn't just look better – it also prevents rust and keeps everything working properly. That's why cleaning your bike isn't just about looks; it should be a fixed part of your maintenance routine.

But cleaning a bike properly takes some know-how: a motorbike has lots of different parts, and not all of them can be treated with the same cleaner. In our cleaning and care category, though, you'll find everything you need for a really thorough clean in no time.

Motorbike care and cleaning products

Cleaning your chain is part of looking after your bike, and regular chain maintenance really is essential. It's not enough to simply lube it now and then – it should actually be cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis.

Over time, a lot of dirt gets trapped between the chain links and mixes with the lube. If you notice that, it's high time for a proper clean. For this, our shop stocks a chain cleaning brush as well as the right cleaning fluid to remove every last bit of grime.

Cleaning your bike: headlights & co.

When you clean your bike, don't forget the headlight and indicators. Over time, loads of dead flies and other insects build up on them, and normal cleaners usually aren't strong enough to remove all the remains. That's why we stock a special bug remover spray from Presto. It dissolves insects from headlights & co. in seconds and restores full light output.

If your headlight has already suffered badly from insects and stone chips, we also have the headlight restoration kit from Presto. It evens out and removes small scratches, so the surface looks as good as new again and your headlight shines at full brightness. Bike care: frame, underside & rust

After winter in particular, road salt really takes its toll on our bikes. If you don't clean regularly, the frame, swingarm and underside of your bike can start rusting quickly. Of course, we could clean our bikes after every ride – but we often just don't have the time. Anti-rust protection spray can help here: it puts a protective layer on the metal and so stops rust spots forming too quickly. You should still clean the underside of your bike regularly, though – it's only an extra protective film, not a cure-all.
