Every bike owner really should have paints, polishes and painting supplies at home. Whether it's a visual makeover or fixing small dents, with the right gear anyone can do it themselves. That's why this category has everything you need for paint care, motorbike polishing and painting bike parts – whether it's acrylic surfaces, the paintwork itself or even your exhaust. You'll find everything a bike owner could wish for, at unbeatable prices.
Supplies for fixing scratches and dents
Over time, small scratches on your bike are simply unavoidable. They love to show up on the exhaust, indicators and screen. That's not just annoying – over time it can ruin the look of your bike. Luckily, with a few simple steps and the right products, you can fix most paint damage yourself.
For scuffs on lots of parts, for example, there's an acrylic scratch remover from Presto. It's super easy to use and removes scratches on headlights, clock covers & co. in no time.
Maybe your bike's paintwork has a few small scratches and you'd like to touch them up yourself? In our shop you'll find wet-and-dry paper and other tools that are a great help with this kind of repair work. Small dents can be pushed out with the right pressure and professional reshaping, then filled, polished and repainted. Larger damage and dents should of course always be repaired by a professional workshop to make sure your bike stays fully roadworthy. But a light polish is something you can definitely do yourself.
Pro painting tips for your bike
Paintwork always needs special care – and it's not as easy as it looks. Here are six pro tricks for proper paint care:
- 1. Always apply polish to the polishing pad, not to the paint.
- 2. Every product needs its own cloth. Cleanliness is everything.
- 3. Work in straight lines, not in circles. That stops swirl marks forming in the paint.
- 4. Only ever work on small areas at a time.
- 5. Use every product sparingly.
- 6. Using a polishing machine takes practice and isn't for beginners.
Motorbike paint: fancy a new look for your bike?
In our shop you'll find loads of spray cans in all sorts of colours. But using spray cans properly takes practice, and getting the amount right can be tricky. That's why we stock the Dupli-Color Spraymaster spray gun. For a truly unbeatable price, it turns any Motip Dupli spray can into a proper spray gun – making it child's play to control the flow and get an even finish.
Ever thought about giving your bike a small splash of colour? How about a new colour for your exhaust, for example? Maybe it's still in a rather boring colour, but you'd love it in matt black? With Motip exhaust paint, that's no problem at all. It's highly heat-resistant and therefore ideal for exhausts. As a rule, always remove the exhaust before spraying it with the new exhaust paint. Best have a look around our shop and check out the paint for yourself – you'll also find a short guide on how to use the spray there.
