The Cardinals Racing V58 camshaft in the VVA-OPEN version was developed specifically for performance-oriented Yamaha YI-5 engines and is designed for riders who want to achieve maximum performance in the upper RPM range.

Unlike the standard VVA camshaft, the V58 deliberately dispenses with variable valve actuation and instead relies on a fixed, sport-oriented cam profile. This VVA-OPEN design simplifies the valve train and is consistently optimized for high RPMs and maximum airflow.

The aggressive cam profile, featuring increased valve lift and extended opening times, ensures increased airflow into the cylinder. This significantly improves cylinder filling at high RPMs, resulting in noticeable power gains and increased responsiveness.

Manufactured from hardened steel, the camshaft offers high durability and precise timing even under demanding racing conditions.

Please note: By eliminating variable valve timing, the power curve shifts toward higher RPMs. In the lower RPM range, there may be a loss of torque and smoothness—which is not uncommon for aggressive camshafts.

For optimal results, use in combination with reinforced valve springs, an adjusted fuel supply, and appropriately tuned engine management is recommended.

Ideal for racing and performance setups where the focus is on maximum peak power.
