The rectifier or regulator changes the AC voltage generated in the alternator to the DC voltage of 12V used in the vehicle electrical system and keeps the voltage within a certain tolerance range. This charges the battery and ensures that bulbs, for example, do not burn through.
Since this component is exposed to very high temperature loads, it often breaks down.
If the rectifier or regulator is defective, the battery is constantly empty, with certain ignition systems the ignition system does not work any more, bulbs burn out continuously or the driving light flickers.
Some models are equipped with 2 different controllers, please check the plug connection before ordering and compare with the picture.
